Matilda at the Sorrel-Weed house?

This video is pretty interesting to watch. The only thing I question is that the video mentions 3 of them. In the shot with what could be “Matilda”, you only see one person. So there is the guy with the camera, and the guy in the shot, then Matilda. I personally have to question if the figure we’re seeing is the 3rd unseen person but if it isn’t, this is pretty amazing stuff. The video does match the story and sightings of Matilda…

Matilda was the wife of the home’s owner, Francis Sorrel. He was having an affair with a servant named Molly. When Matilda discovered the affair she committed suicide. Two weeks after Matilda’s death, Molly’s body was found in her room hanging from a rope.

The Kid By The Counter – Team Evidence New Feature

Hey guys,

We’re starting another new feature here, yeah another one haha, and I thought I would start it off with this interesting piece of evidence.

The photo was taken at a clients house located outside of Atlanta, GA. The name and exact location are being kept private. This was captured by a tech specialist with the Paulding Paranormal Society. In the photo, you will see a mass standing by a counter top. When the photo was taken, there was nothing there. No chair, no person, nothing. Many members of the team have speculated that it looks like a kid though a couple of them believe it to be something else.

While there no other evidence was found. Some odd EMF readings were captured but a few of them were quickly tracked down and a natural cause found.

Old Mansion Still Housing Ghost

The following is a picture captured at a mansion that was used as a hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. The picture features a shot of the owner during the time and what appears to be a face looking at you through the window taken in 2005.

As always, click to enlarge photo.

Interview with Nick Groff of Ghost Adventures!

That’s right. I finally scored my interview with Nick Groff. You’ll notice that some of the questions are similar to my others but I changed some of it, to make it more personable. I hope you enjoy this and I hope to get more content like this to share with my readers.

What exactly are your team duties? Researcher/Investigator and Executive Producer of Ghost  Adventures, Co-Owner of GAC.

How many years experience do you have in the field of paranormal research and
investigation?
8 yrs

What got you into the field? I have always been fascinated with the  supernatural/paranormal.  I wanted to experience these happenings and find answers  to what is actually out there.

What piece of equipment have you gotten the best results with? For me, it would have  to be a digital recorder. For some reason, I am able to capture some pretty incredible Electronic Voice Phenomenon’s (EVP’s). We do look to experiment with other pieces of equipment that have captured great evidence, but the digital recorder is a must for any investigation.

You recently investigated Moon River Brewing Company. I’m from Georgia, just outside of Atlanta, and make a yearly trip to Savannah. What did you think of the town? Did you do any of the tours or other tourist attractions? I absolutely loved Savannah,
GA! It’s very historic and there’s a lot to see. The people of Savannah are very welcoming. Moon River Brewery Company was an amazing location to investigate and extremely scary at times. A second investigation would be great!

What’s the best experience you’ve ever had during an investigation? I have had a few experiences that have stayed with me. First, witnessing scrap material and a brick fly through the air at the Goldfield Hotel, NV. The second would be at Moon River Brewery Company when I experienced a partial possession. I felt a dark presence come over me. When this occurred, I blacked out and in the episode you’ll see that we captured an EVP and a dark mist come out from behind me at the very same moment.

Have you ever been very scared of an experience and if so what happened? Several times I have been startled. Time to time, even with all my experiences, it still gets me when something unexplainable happens. In the pitch darkness, it can take anyone off guard. When you hear a voice trying to communicate with you, or see a figure standing two feet away from you then disappear…let’s just say it can get pretty intense.

Where has your favorite place been to investigate? I love all the locations we have been to because they are all different in their own way and each location presents a new challenge.

What location would you most like to investigate? I would like to investigate the Buffalo Psychiatric Center in NY, but because of the condition of the structure they are not allowing anyone in there to investigate. That location looks awesome and it is incredibly historic.

Any advice for the would-be ghost investigators? Research the location first, than investigate second. You need to know what you’re getting yourself into.

My notes…
I’m really excited to have Nick Groff agree to an interview. Though it isn’t a long interview I feel that it shows a lot about who he is as a person and an investigator of the paranormal. This isn’t some PR piece, this is an interview I requested so you know it’s real. And I agree, digital audio is probably the best evidence that can be produced during an investigation.

Jason & MPS

What is your name?
Jason (last name withheld upon request)

What is your teams name? What is their website (if applicable)?
MPS – Metro Paranormal Society

What are your team duties?
I am the founder and lead investigator of my team. What I say goes.

How many years experience do you have in the field?
In MPS, about 3 years. General paranormal field experience would range about 10 years.

What got you into ghost hunting and paranormal investigating?
The stories and experiences those around me were having and had. Before I really got into the paranormal I hadn’t had any paranormal experiences, or I had and not realized it. I’ve come to see now that people who even believe that they haven’t most likely have in one form or another without realizing it. Writing it off as something else, something that makes more sense to them.

What is the best experience you’ve ever had during an investigation?
My main field of expertise is EVP recording. Any EVP we capture I consider a good experience. Having them call out your name or say something totally relevant to you is amazing.

Have you ever been scared of an experience and if so what happened?
Not really. It’s called paranormal but I view it more as a normal. It’s just something that isn’t entirely understood yet.

Where has your favorite place been to investigate?
My favorite places to investigate are peoples homes. Because they are real. These are real experiences, real problems, being caused for someone or people and helping them in any capacity is a great feeling.

What location would you most like to investigate?
An Insane Asylum. Hands down…

Any advice for the would-be ghost hunters?
Stop watching T.V. Those T.V. teams aren’t the real deal. They aren’t! Get off your ass and do it for yourself. Get the REAL evidence. Come up with your own theories and ideologies and don’t listen to what T.V. teams have to say. Remember, they need ratings. They want ratings. They are willing to fake or exaggerate evidence to get it… I don’t care what anyone says.

Also be weary of other teams. There are those out there that consider this to be a competition and will try to destroy your reputation. Just stay away from people like that and don’t get caught up in their games.

Any advice for people who are experiencing paranormal events?

The best advice I can give is don’t panic. Most spirits, er ghost? lol, are simply lost and confused. Even if you get a mean spirited ghost remember that something probably happened, really bad, to make them that way. Be firm and direct and tell them to leave you and your family alone. If this doesn’t help do some research online and find the best team in your area. Contact them and see if they can give you answers. I would also stay away from teams that rely solely on metaphysical means for investigations unless this is also your belief. The most powerful weapon you can have is your beliefs.

Any last words?
Remember that these sorts of things don’t have to be paranormal. I personally believe that this is just a level of understanding, you can even call it science, that we simply don’t have the means to understand. If spirits are energy then there are ways to connect to that energy.
